The International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) is a renowned world organization.

On the 22nd of March 1966, the International Taekwon-Do Federation was formed with associations in Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, West Germany, the United States, Turkey, Italy, Arab Republic of Egypt and South Korea.
In 1972, ITF headquarters moved to Toronto, Canada to facilitate the spread of TKD to the whole world.
In 1985, ITF headquarters moved to Vienna, Austria in order to spread TKD in Socialism Countries and the third world countries.

ITF constitution states that Taekwon-Do has the ultimate aim to make a positive contribution to building a more peaceful and better world through physical and mental training against all sorts of political, religious, racial and ideological discrimination, under its indispensable ideals of friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding based on impartiality.
