WINNING CIRCLE MARTIAL ARTS

RIVERSIDE SOUTH COMMUNITY

HISTORY AND OBJECTIVES

HISTORY

Master Eric AH-YUEN, owner of Winning Circle Martial Arts, founded the club in September 2000.  His hopes were to match the vitality of the Riverside South – Manotick community with a small but viable martial arts club.  Under his impulsion, the club grew to a point where it necessitated a permanent instructor.  In September 2002, Master Eric AH-YUEN appointed François R. JOLY as head instructor of the Winning Circle Manotick Branch Club.

OBJECTIVES

-          Promote the art of Tae Kwon Do as a way of life and as a means of self-defense;

-          Enhance students’ concentration, physical skills and stamina;

-          Promote the use of the internet as a pedagogical tool; and

-          Play a dynamic role in the Riverside South – Manotick community.

IMPORTANT

While being a friendly and family oriented club, Winning Circle Martial Arts Riverside South Community encourages each of its students to participate in as many tournaments as they can.  Competition harnesses skills and provides a more profound understanding of martial arts in general.  As such, patterns and sparring will be practiced regularly on an extensive basis.
